• Located in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The B&B is just 15 miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway MP 121. (click here for map) The Blue Ridge Parkway is unabashedly America’s drive-through National Park. The BRP is a 469.1 mile long with zero stops. "America's Favorite Drive/Ride."

• We are at the starting point for the Crooked Road: Virginia's Heritage Music Trail.   Booker T Washington National Monument is just a short drive from The Claiborne House.

• Visit the famous Smith Mountain Lake with its 500 miles of  shoreline, festivals and restaurants or our other scenic mountain lake, Philpott Lake with hiking trails, good fishin' and swimmin' holes; we have TWO Lakes to visit! Virginia is for lovers!

• Allow for some relaxation time on our 130' porch, with white wicker, rockers and hanging ferns. Shade trees adorn the property. Awaken to fresh coffee and mockingbirds - not traffic!
